A pleasant morning drive west from Ingham will take you to Wallaman Falls – Australia’s highest single drop waterfall. Located approx 52 km west of Ingham qld with the last 4 kms gravel road. A spectacular waterfall with a rainbow mist forming as the water nears the bottom of its descent in the morning with the sun behind your back. Camping is available but caravans and larger motorhomes are not recommended as there is quite a steep and winding climb to the falls (A little over 540 metres above sea level. Cassowaries and their chicks have been spotted wandering along the roadway and the elusive platypus can be spotted in the creek behind the day use area.
